Research & Development: Make the meaningful Possible

Pharmeceutical research and development work has played a decisive role at LTS since its founding. Our basic principle has been and still is what we let ourselves be guided by the "therapeutic niche". This means that we do not try to cover every therapeutic category within our capabilities, but only what is therapeutically meaningful. LTS services and capabilities become envoled when existing galenic concepts are not utilized, cannot act optimally, or are not sufficiently user-friendly.

In cooperation projects with the pharmaceutical industry, LTS personnel are currently developing innovative transdermal and oral applications leading to production and manufacturing prepare for approval. Beyond day-to-day work, we continue to extend the range of our formulation technology for future applications.

In addition to "active industry partnering" LTS continuest to extend our technology base with patent filings, formulation development, and start-up and equipment development. Aside from inventing new  drug delivery systems, the production-related focus has always been one of the guiding principles of LTS researchers. This also includes the development of innovative procedures including quality programs for the industrial production of quantities capable of serving the world market.
